We don't believe in limitations. We believe that all accidents are avoidable, and if they do occur, then it's possible to protect life, the environment, infrastructure and business through careful planning and proper preparedness. Working together as a close knit team, we are always looking for ways to improve perceived "best practice" and we work together to ensure that the uniqueness of every situation is duly considered.
Altor brings together people with extraordinary experience in managing risk in the energy sector. Our staff include the founders of Rubicon Response Limited and iON Risk Management Limited as well as those who have fulfilled roles with other specialist service providers, or indeed within major operators.
There are many companies that provide risk management services. Altor deals with major accident risk, that is the risk which is associated with big things going wrong, and is associated with industries such as oil & gas, power generation, and mining. This, on its own, is not unique. However, what is unique is the range of Altor’s services. Our services cover the entire risk spectrum.
There are very few, if any, companies that provide services covering both sides of the Bow Tie, offering both preventative and recovery controls.
Furthermore, we look at risk associated with not only what companies do, but also with where they do it. This means looking at risk “outside the fence” associated with community interface and environmental impact.
