IESTA’s Showcase of Scottish Training Continues to Grow

International Energy Skills & Training Alliance (IESTA) has recruited six new companies, almost doubling its membership in seven months.
The alliance, which aims to become a first port of call for skills and training in the global energy industry, now represents 26 of Scotland’s foremost education and training providers.
Gary Boyd, director of operations for IESTA said: “The value of pooling Scottish expertise and experience and promoting it to the global energy sector is being understood and, as more companies join the alliance and collaborate to win new business our proposition becomes more compelling on the global stage.”
Among the latest new members is Robert Gordon University’s international commercial training arm, Univation Ltd, which has adopted a solution based approach to the supply of training and education products and services to the international oil and gas industry.
Scotland's largest college of further and higher education and vocational training, Aberdeen College, has also joined along with IC Media Ltd, competence-led training and consultancy, Tucson North International, a strategic and vocational training consultancy, Sparrows Training, specialists in training for offshore crane and lifting operations and Aberdeen Drilling Consultants, training and consultancy in drilling and well engineering.
“Each of these companies adds an extra dimension to our overall offering and we are delighted to welcome them,” added Mr Boyd.
IESTA is a central hub for skills solutions to the global energy industry and its training portfolio is founded upon technological excellence, proven best practice and the highest operational and HSE standards.
Members include; 2020 Business Group, Angus College, Atlas Interactive, Banff & Buchan College, BIS Skills Centre, Enermech, EPIT, ESD Simulation Training, Faulk Nutec, MacDonald Energy, Mintra Training Portal, Petrofac Training, SPEX Services, SQA Oil & Gas, NOF Energy, IC Media Ltd, Aberdeen Drilling Consultants, Tucson North International, Robert Gordon University and the University of Dundee.
