Philippines - Petroleum Contracts to be offered

The Philippine Department of Energy (DoE) is set to offer 10 petroleum contracts covering the areas of Mindanao, Palawan and Central Luzon.  Those areas are identified under the Philippine Petroleum Resource Assessment Project (PhilPRA).

The PhilPRA project noted that the country has 16 sedimentary basins representing an area of 700,000 square kilometers.

The government is keen to develop the country’s energy resources to increase self-sufficiency through improved processes.
