IESTA Staff Profiles

Roddy ScottMr Roddy Scott - Chairman
Roddy has been Curriculum Manager for Engineering at Angus College for the last 3 years and a non-executive director of IESTA. He has recently taken up a new post of Director for Renewables and Energy Development at the college. Angus College, “Scotland’s Best Community College 2010” has a long experience in providing education and training for the offshore energy industry due to its proximity to Aberdeen, from short courses to 4 year apprenticeships. Roddy has extensive experience in curriculum and course design and has worked with the Scottish Qualifications Authority on course frameworks including Aviation and Engineering Systems. A pro-active member of IESTA since its inception, the college is keen to work in collaboration with other members in finding solutions to clients training and education needs.

Linda HopeMs Linda Hope – Board Director
Linda Hope is External Affairs Manager at Banff and Buchan College of Further Education.  The College is situated in Fraserburgh with learning centres throughout Aberdeenshire as well as a commercial training centre at Dyce, Aberdeen.  Linda has over 20 years experience in vocational education and is responsible for international business development and marketing within the College.  bSolutions, the commercial training facility of the College offers a range of nationally and internationally recognised qualifications across a variety of sectors including engineering, hydraulics, nautical and health and safety.  The College is one of the original members of IESTA and is committed to partnership working with other member organisations.

Mrs Cerri McDonald Board Director
Cerri is Business Development & Communications Manager for local IT Support Provider, Solutions.  Solutions are a leading Scottish IT Support Provider who have been training, supporting, developing and connecting businesses for over 20 years.  A professional Communications Specialist, Cerri has played an active role in the extensive business growth that Solutions has enjoyed over the last five years.  With 10 years working experience in fast paced Corporate Communications positions for ConocoPhillips and Expro Group, Cerri has combined her broad range of experience and knowledge in Oil & Gas and Information Technology to her advantage.  Cerri has extensive commercial experience in delivering innovative training solutions to the Oil & Gas Industry.  As a new member of IESTA, Cerri is focused on raising the profile of the alliance and its members.  Solutions are also eager to work in partnership with other member companies to complement and strengthen existing training services. 

Gary BoydMr Gary Boyd – Director of Operations
Gary is an experienced marketing and business development manager within both the training and energy sectors. Gary is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and has recently held senior positions with Highland & Island Enterprise, Aberdeen College and Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of commerce. Gary’s role is to lead the organisation through rapid growth strategy indentifying major international business opportunities for IESTA member companies and expanding the already comprehensive member base.
