Business Opportunities

1. Trade Missions

IESTA’s international face provides member organisations with a vital link to new, lucrative markets around the globe. We focus on a key target group of international locations which have been collectively agreed by the members. Currently IESTA have two international target market priority levels:

Level 1: Middle East, North Africa and West Africa
Level 2: South Africa, China and India

During 2010/11 IESTA are planning to take part in a minimum of three separate trade missions to our key target areas. Abi Dhabi, Libya and Ghana, see IESTA events for more details.

IESTA will take part in trade missions on behalf of all IESTA members with working groups set up in advance to identify strategy, key objectives and business opportunities. These will then be communicated directly to the relevant member companies on return along with any specific market intelligence. Member companies may also accompany IESTA on trade missions.

2. National & International Tender Alerts

IESTA have registered with a variety of UK and International tender alert organisations which provide many new business, partnership and knowledge opportunities for our members.

As a member you will receive a regular ‘Business Opportunities Brief’ giving full details of the latest tenders and market knowledge identified. In addition the Brief acts as an important communication tool where IESTA can pass market intelligence specifically related to the Energy Skills & Training sector to member companies.

3. Direct Contact with UK & International Clients

As IESTA’s activity increases there are more and more opportunities to work directly with major international Energy sector corporations and government bodies. We can also contact a specific organisation on behalf of a member organisation.

4. High Level Networking

Networking remains one of the most important ways in which IESTA can identify quality business opportunities for its members. We take part in many UK and international events and industry forums meeting many key contacts within commercial and government bodies.

In the UK we will have an exhibition presence at All Energy and Offshore Europe and internationally we will be focusing on specific Energy and Training events within our agreed target markets.
